About Our Materials

Tribotech bearings are fashioned from composite blends of thermoset polyester resin incorporating advanced polymer technologies. To create the materials, technical polyester fabrics are impregnated with polyester resin and evenly dispersed solid lubricants, wound to desired size specifications, then cured. These materials lend themselves to superior dimensional stability, compression strength, and lifespan, and satisfy countless engineering applications.

Material Grades

Tribotech composite bearings and tubes are available in different grades to meet the demands of different applications. Our standard grades are as follows:

	TA 100	TA 200	TA 300
Description	Fabric-reinforced polyester resin composite with PTFE lubrication	Fabric-reinforced polyester resin composite with graphite lubrication	Fabric-reinforced polyester resin composite with molybdenum disulphide (MOS2) lubrication

Typical Applications	Wide scale industrial use including hydraulic cylinders and general industrial bushing applications	Hydraulic cylinders; marine, hydropower and oil and gas applications including on-deck equipment and oil and gas bushings	Marine and hydropower applications requiring very low friction performance, including rudder bearings and wicket gates

Tribotech Composites is ISO-9001Certified. All of our products are subject to rigorous quality controls during every stage of the process, from raw material acquisition, to material fabrication, to CNC machining, to delivery. Continuous testing and feedback ensures the quality and performance of all our materials. This can be further bolstered by application-specific testing for customers if required.
